SMOKEY EYE TUTORIAL!

I've always found smokey eyes difficult. Sounds stupid I know but whenever I attempt it, I seem to end up looking like I have two black eyes, haha. After I watched this video, I immediately felt way more confident in being able to do it. These make up tutorials are easy to understand and are very thorough. Its made to look very quick and simple so I should hopefully have no trouble with it. Another thing i like about these tutorials is that it shows you all the products they have used to achieve the look. I haven't tried this yet but I will do very soon :)

NAILS!

I was reading the Company High Street Edit and came across a section called 'fashion for your fingers'. As I love nail varnish I had to check it out and I was very, very pleased when i did. There were so many cool techniques that i hadnt even heard of! Yes some were very expensive and time consuming yet some were inexpensive and very straight forward.

1). This technique is where you can let your creative side come out. Take a bowl of cold water, pour in a few drops of nail varnish then another few drops in a different colour. If the nail varnish isnt too thick and heavy then it should spread over the surface of the water (if it is too heavy then it'll just sink). Once the colours have spread, pull a cocktail stick gently through the varnish to swirl the two colours together. Create the pattern you want by using the cocktail sticks, place your nail over the surface, scoop out of the water to pick up the colour and there you have marbled effect nails! And at a very cheap price too :D

www.naildelights.com - has everything you need to create a masterpiece of your nails ranging from stickers, glitter, gems, sary looking nail tools and so much more! All at a very cheap price indeed! :)

X-FACTOR - 30TH OCTOBER!

I must admit, im not extremely keen on Cher Lloyd but her performance tonight was absoulutely amazing! Tonight she sang Shakespeares Sisters - Stay which was obviously very different but she sang it well! In my opinion she has deffinately proved her point! And god that girl can sing!
Rebecca Ferguson is one of my favourite contestants as her voice is very unique. She reminds me a bit of Macy Gracy when she sings and I love Macy Gray!
I also seemed to have developed a soft spot for Matt Cardle especially after tonight with his version of Leona Lewis' Bleeding Love.
The X Factor Songs

ILLUSTRATOR - KELLY SMITH

I am currently doing a GCSE in Graphic Design and a few pages of my portfolio had to include reasearch on some illustrators. I luckily stumbled across the website www.illustrationweb.com and was introduced into the fabulous world of illustration. An illustrator called Kelly Smith caught my eye as her creations are inspired by fashion, film and fairytales. Her creations are very subtle and soft with only a few hints of colour.

Topshop nail varnish

Ok so i am now officially in love with Topshop! I published a post a while ago about their new make-up range that recently launched and since then i have managed to build up a little collection of around 8 nail varnishes. Unfortuantely not all stores sell the make-up but of course Oxford Street has a whole make-up bar and Cabot Circus seems to stock a fair amount. Other places i've been to recently like Bath and Oxford also stock a few bits. So go on guys, buy as much as you want of this brilliant range but please dont buy all the nail varnish ;) x x x

MODESTEP!

i found out about this last sunnday and i think its brilliant. Anyone who likes dubstep will like modestep. Basically every Sunday night at 9pm a group called Modestep tune in online and play live dubstep! I think its actually one of the first or if not THE first place to hear dubstep radio. The link is as followed... http://www.modestep.co.uk/live/

update

i'm really not good at this whole blog thing haha. i shall try from now on to at least update it once a week (not that i have any followers or anything) but still, it keeps me occupied

topshop make-up!

No doubt some of you were pretty excited when Topshop lanuched their make-up range. I know i was! When i first went on the website to have a look, i straight away clicked on nail polish (i love nail polish!) and was amazed at the fact that it seemed there was every colour imaginable! i ordered two polishes one called 'Carry on Camping' the other 'Fiesty'. They're £5 each which isnt too expensive but £5 is probably my limit for nail polish. When i first tried the polish i wasnt that impressed as it seemed to chip really easily and in a few days my nails weren't looking that good, but then i ordered the polish called 'Under and Over' which is the base and top coat. Once it arrived i re-painted my nails using it and after a few days, instead of chipping, my nails still looked good! Overall i am pleased with Topshop's nail varnish as its long lasting and afforadable. I definately reccommend it!

HEY! :]

hello, welcome to my blog (:
I decided to create a blog after reading an article in Company High Street Edit and it looked as though it was a pretty cool thing to do so I read interviews with a few bloggers - one particuarly caught my eye which was Ripped Knees (i'm a big fan!) and decided to make my own!
My blog is just a way of me expressing my interests and views and also sharing them with you guys so i'll probably just post things which interest and hopefully they interest you too!
